CAMP BISCO
Every festival is attempting to do something different and stand out from the other summer festivals in order to make sure that the attendees come back next year with more of their friends. Camp Bisco already possess a dedicated fan base from all over North America and is still making changes to be an overall better experience and worth the trek to a small town in upstate New York.

At the end of the summer the concerts and festivals seem to blend together in one, great memory, here are our 5 reasons to make Camp Bisco a part of it in July every year
Everybody at Camp Bisco will give you one artist’s name in particular if you ask who they’re most excited to see: The Disco Biscuits, Bassnectar, Passion Pit who all played on the main stage(s) this year. The B.I.G. Tent hosted several huge acts with amazing live performances by Destroid featuring Excision and Dirtyphonics LIVE.
Bassnectar easily had the largest crowd on Friday and made everyone at Bisco get down as one; the last hour of the set can be heard below:

The Artists you didn’t come to see (or were unfamiliar with)
There are always a few people playing at a festival you are unfamiliar with or have never seen live and Camp Bisco this year provided a chance to see a few acts that would otherwise go under the radar for many festival attendees. Here Eskmo plays parts of a lamp, samples them live and makes a song on the spot to finish his set.

The two story art structure between the tents provided a large open area to relax and listen to music from both tents while watching all different types of artists create completely different pieces on large areas of an art installment.

The totems are always one of the best parts of Camp Bisco because so many other festivals don’t allow anything like them, and if they do its nothing like what shows up every year at Bisco. Bob Saget and Charlie Sheen both had their faces on poles high above the crowd and were mentioned by artists like Danny Brown and Crizzly. My personal favorite was the giant “jellyfish” umbrella standing above the others and always moving.
Whether or not you came to Camp Bisco to buy things from vendors, you probably did. Anything from sunglasses, clothes, glassware and camping gear were available from the long line of vendors spread out through the camping areas and the stage area. I always use and lose a lot of sunglasses at festivals like this, here’s our friends at EYE LOVE SHADEZ with their display of any style you could want.
