November 30th, 2013, Washington DC’s 9:30 Club hosted a sold out show with Carnage and support from Racecarbed and Kylexi.

The party started before the doors even opened when hundreds of half naked fans froze outside waiting anxiously to get in as others walked the line looking for an extra ticket.

With the front gate being against the stage (as opposed to a few feet back) to not allowing re-entry, the 9:30 Club took some extreme precautions to “control the chaos” according to the front gate bouncer that wouldn’t let anyone outside to smoke or cool off from the sweat box that was the high energy dance party inside.

The opener, Kylexi, is a local DC artist that delivered a performance giving the crowd a soundtrack to warm their bodies up to. He played for an hour, and took every minute of it to rock the first few hundred people waiting since the doors opened, while others were slowly moving through the slower than average security line, a reason to come early to everyone who missed him.

Racecarbed quickly transitioned into their set and brought it from the beginning. A Baltimore based duo that frequents between the two cities were joined on stage by Shawn Lacus who always brings extra hype, all while Racecarbed adds their signature female robot voice “Racecarbed is my favorite DJ” enough that you can’t forget it.  Their performance, outstanding, as always.

Carnage creates a seriously high energy dance environment, which is why when he asks 10 girls to get on stage and dance, it doesn’t take long.

He lowered the music to tell everyone how much this show meant, and that he played for 15,000 people in Mexico City the night before but would rather play a show in his home town any day, “I love you so much more” he screamed into the mic and then said he was premiering a brand new track. We were all blown away, and left with ringing in our ears and hard beats in our hearts.
