photoDuring U Street music hall’s 4 year anniversary week Thursday night was sold out with a line around the block for Cashmere Cat and Trippy Turtle with support from DC’s Alex Young.

Uhall’s sold out crowd filled up the venue as Alex Young played some of his productions like Bad Things and Madlibs, which has a new music video you can see on his YouTube here.

Trippy Turtle took over around 11:30pm and took off his Billion Boys Club jacket to put on a Turtle costume and began his set. The crowd went crazy for every one of his recognizable tracks that have become somewhat infamous on his soundcloud.

Cashmere Cat started off his set with Kiss Kiss and had the crowd in UHall loving it. The place later erupted when Cashmere cat dropped right into Slasherr by Rustie, with everyone dancing and cheering HEY! Along with the still very unique sound of the song.

This show was unbelievable, like most shows at U Street Music Hall, and it was right in the middle of a huge week of shows solidifying U Street Music Hall that it was bigger than ever celebrating its 4 year anniversary week.
