Another Wednesday, another show at Flash. There is now so much going on in D.C. on Wednesday nights, but we still find ourselves at Flash for the talented and diverse artists Nu Androids has been booking. This week they showcased none other than Coyote Kisses.
Citizen Select opened the club level with dancey disco vibes like CHVRCHES cover of Zhu’s “Gun” and Bixel Boys’ “Amigo”. Everyone was stepping all over the place for his full set. Singing together was just an extra bonus when he played a remix of “Roxanne” by The Police.
Coyote Kisses, the duo of Joe Sussingham and Bryce Bresnan, came on around 12:30 a.m. and thanked the crowd for coming out on a Wednesday. They started off their set with their newest jam, “Illusion.”
With quick transitions in between their signature “Neon Nature” sound, Coyote Kisses exceeded expectations. Everything from What So Not’s “Gemini” to Wave Racers’ “Streamers” kept the audience happily dancing.
Seemed like Coyote Kisses enjoyed their time at Flash as well.

So of course, paired with the bursting menagerie of lights of Flash, the night sometimes took on the experience of an “Illusion.” And that’s not even mentioning the flash-tastic kicks we saw one dancer sporting that actually lit up the steppin’ floor!
Keep the hump day dancefests going strong, DCers!
