These MEGA’s have become, if they weren’t already, the craziest recurring show around. Always with a huge lineup and around 8 hours of music from beginning to end, you can end up feeling like you danced the length of a full day of work at one of these shows. Remember party peoples: stay hydrated when dancing that much.

And since theMUES covered the last Zeds Dead MEGA in 2012, we couldn’t have been more excited to see what would be new and different this time around.

The night started off with Nixsin, a great local who recently turned 21. He has been doing his thing for some time in the area, and is only going bigger places.

Next up, Des McMahon, a great producer and DJ who is always playing a different style when we get to see him. Tonight it was nasty dub and funk with some tight mixing that was even making the early crowd get the funk down. By 11:00 pm Echostage was packed. Now it looked like the sold out show we were promised.

Thugli got their stuff set up and started turning Echostage the funk up with dark, future sound tracks and trap tunes. Their name is Thugli, what else would you expect them to playing? And their name was emblazoned in lights behind them so everyone could get a sweet picture with their name in it.

Gladiator came up next, doing what they do best. Bringing a party and a good time on stage with them, you have no choice but to party along with them. After seeing them last year on Halloween with their Breaking Bad costumes we know to not miss a second of a Gladiator set.

Ironically, some people did not seem to remember that Halloween was long over, and still insisted on dressing up in costumes for the show. Oh. Wait. That’s not a Halloween costume? SQUAD!

There was a brief intermission to uncover and move front and center all of the gear for Keys N Krates. But seeing them is well worth any wait. The Toronto trio really added to the music diversity and show quality for this MEGA.

And for those who were still vertical at the end of the night, they got to see and hear the long awaited Zeds Dead.

“Everytime we come here you all go so goddamn hard,” shouted Zeds Dead, then took a group photo with the crowd. “Let’s keep this damn thing going!” We almost forgot it was 2:45 am. This was probably the standout difference from 2012, their encore went on until the lights went on at 4:00 am.
