While the Apollo missions ended in 1970s, there is still plenty of demand for Moon Boots.
All puns aside about his music being revolutionary and covering many phases (thank you, middle school science), this artist is bringing his funky dance grooves to Flash at the next waxing crescent, or more simply: next Wednesday!
Please, humor us, as we just scratch the surface here, and we promise not to make any jokes about the moonwalk. Ah, too late.
Since his “Off My Mind” EP three years ago, Moon Boots been making jams ever since, most notably for the French Express label.
Last summer, Moon Boots landed with the rest of the French Express at U Street Music Hall (reminisce with us here), and then he visited Flash earlier this year when his remix of George Maple’s “Talk Talk” was released.
Now, he’s shared a new single, “Utopia feat. Janelle Kroll,” right before he is back to take over Flash again. Play this track, and you practically can feel humid tropic air wrap you up and start you on a journey to a state of perfection that may or may not exist.
And when you’re gone, my heart don’t beat the same
Just one thing I could think about, all you put me on
And when you’re gone it’s hard to say your name
Just one thing I could think about, oh, UTOPIA!
