Playing lots of stuff we hadn’t heard before, Nora En Pure immediately had Flash moving and getting sweaty on Wednesday night. She even had to push up her t-shirt sleeves — she was doing work!

Nora En Pure has been rolling up her sleeves all through 2016. She was in Washington earlier this year on the “No Xcuses” North American bus tour with EDX and Croatia Squad.
She has released a ton of new music, including singles, remixes and her EP Lake Arrowhead, and has tour dates all over the globe. Lucky for us, she returned to D.C. for another performance.
The dance floor, tables, and bar area were jammed early. Flash was definitely at capacity, but that’s what her shows demand.
We first saw Nora en Pure at Flash in April of 2015, thanks to another Nü Androids #WedistheNuFriday show. It was love at first beat. The club wasn’t as packed as this past Wednesday, so it’s apparent that word has spread quickly that her show is a must-hear.
This time around, despite the rain and the mid-week date, Flash was swarming with fans for the opener, Playin’fields. Enea Diotaiuti is a D.C.-transplant by way of Italy, and you can regularly catch him on Friday nights playing at Eighteenth Street Lounge — you can’t miss him, he has a particularly dapper handlebar mustache. Playing’fields put on a lively hour-long set leading into Nora a bit after midnight.
With huge remixes and singles like the one she released 2 days before this show, Nora En Pure will continue to shine as a curator of mesmerising dance music with a growing fanbase and diverse song selection. West Coast, she is on your side this weekend in San Diego!
It was another memorable Wednesday night show at Flash with Nora En Pure, and another groggy Thursday morning at work. Always worth it spending the night (and morning) with the Nü Androids family.
