Nu Androids is giving us a weekly reason to not have anything important to do on Thursday mornings as they keep booking global talent at Flash Wednesday nights.
First reason in April: the Swiss-based sensation, Nora En Pure.
Raising the bar for real house tunes and mixtapes with her “Purified” podcasts, Nora has released some of our favorites over the last year like “True” and “The Sound.”
Right before she took over the tables from Danny House, someone at a nearby table threw handfuls of dollar bills on the dance floor. This was no April Fool’s joke! Some people continued dancing on them, others crawled around, picking them up, and went right over to the bar to get a drink. This was real money– at least $100. And the mixed reactions of confusion and excitement from the crowd was hilarious.
Nora started shortly after midnight, and quickly brought her Indie dance style of music to the killer sound system of Flash.
A pair of Funktion One speakers, renowned for making sound come alive, posted in every corner, really pulls the music beyond what you’re used to hearing. Especially if you are used to listening to her music on a smaller set of speakers, or even worse, your mom’s earbuds, the performance at Flash was next level– electric both in sight and sound.
Playing all our favorites Nora has released over her career, including tracks only heard thus far in her podcasts, this was one of the best recent shows at Flash. And she enjoyed it as well, tweeting this shortly after.

The real diehard fans stayed until the very end, and cheered for an encore. Reluctantly, the crowd accepted this wasn’t going to happen as the lights came up and the friendly Flash security started sheepdog-ing everyone towards the exit.
Thank you, Nora En Pure and Nu Androids, we haven’t made it to work on-time on a Thursday morning in weeks.
