Playboy may have discontinued their centerfolds, but Penthouse Penthouse is ready to let it all hang out with you at U Street Music Hall on Sunday!
Closed Sessions has a very special show lined up for the late hours of your SundayFunday:
Headliners Penthouse Penthouse is the production duo of Mike Parvizi and Preston James. They both teach music for their day jobs and have been working every day to capture their LA-sound through what they call electronic “bedroom music for the ladies.” Sounds intriguing right?
Just a few days ago they released 16 unreleased tracks, “Grooves Vol. 1.” (download for free now!).
And fun fact: Even though their name sounds like the top shelf magazine with the same title, the alias Penthouse Penthouse is actually a tip of the hat to an episode of Workaholics. They’ve been to D.C. before, playing 9:30 Club last fall with the Team Supreme tour.
Also on the docket is StéLouse (pronounced “stay-loose”), another notable producer, hailing from Denver, Colorado. StéLouse, or producer Ross Ryan, has labeled his genre as “defying.” Check out his flip of “So High” by Doja Cat — it’s electric!
In his own words on Facebook, Ryan calls his music “a reflection of my heart and soul. Every emotion, every love, every death, every thought and flaw…past and present…all wrapped up into one single beautiful melody, for the world to sing. This is me, this is what I do.”
But these aren’t the only talents you’ll hear from on Sunday. Dirty Chocolate, Diversa, Beau Young Prince, Chiefs, Dugong Jr. and Fossa Beats are all being brought together for this event too! Closed Sessions bookings always stand out in the sea of choices you have for D.C. parties., and Sunday will be no exception.
