At the end of October, when everyone else is sipping on pumpkin spice, we look forward to a hot serving of RL Grimes’ Halloween Mix. 2015 marks his fourth in the collection, now making it tradition.

This year, with an intro from Hannibal Buress and an ending rhyme from RL Stein (writer of the Goosebumps series), his mixes have gained a huge fan base of musical and famous individuals alike.

“I only just do this comedy shit to pay the bills, this is my real dream. You need to help me achieve that dog!” pleads Buress via voicemail on the 2015 Halloween Mix, begging RL to add him to the Halloween project because he’s got some beats.

His tour schedule has been crazy with three dates here in the states and a date in Montreal right in the middle. We were happy to have him for at least one recent year on Halloween.

He played a show here in DC on Halloween last year, and it was sold out 9:30 Club as one of the biggest things in town that night. We were there as fans, and enjoyed it along with everyone else who helped cheer for an encore that night. But those memories are just ghosts of Halloweens past.

But back to the 2015 Halloween Mix: it is distinctly RL Grime. Ten minutes in, and we wanted to dial up our speakers to 11! He mentioned in the description on Soundcloud that there will be a tracklist coming soon! In the meantime, we are doing our best to name some of these spooktacular gems ourselves, until RL Grime decides on final titles for them.
