In a club packed with people dressed in costumes that ranged from scary to snarky, Tropicalia was the dancing headquarters last Friday.

On the night before Halloween, Subtropic threw a huge party that welcomed all: for a pink-maned unicorn to a skull-faced drummer, and from Chewbacca to Cleopatra, it was a huge night of music and some of DC’s finest party people.

For this Halloween bash, the subterranean U-Street lounge lineup included DJ Castro, DJ Throdown, DJ Heavy D and Mr. Pick4D.

“If you didn’t notice, we have the video cameras tonight,” hailed DJ Throdown. “We are gonna use this to show everybody else in the world that we party harder than any other city around the way!”
