The 8×10 is a more intimate venue than most, and perfect for the first Bass Tribe Baltimore show of 2014. The crowd began to fill up the dance floor during Bassdreads’ 100+ minute set, which was a great mix of unique tunes and upbeat dance music.
Listen to his entire set on soundcloud here.
Druid Cloak followed up with his own unique song selection and mixing style. His set was completely fresh and great to dance to, its an hour and thirty minutes of POW! One song in particular he played by machinedrum titled Clissold stands out because its that damn good, check it on beatport here, and check out Druid Cloaks’ entire set from 8×10 on soundcloud here.
Sweater Beats was briefly introduced by Druid Cloak as the “boy wonder” and it was all Sweater Beats and his MPC 40 after that. It’s hard to put into words a set like his, the songs you knew were remixed and better, and the songs you didn’t know, you wish you did.
Sweater Beats entire set is on soundcloud as well, to be listened to over and over again. Bass Tribe brought a great party to the 8×10 with Sweater Beats and all the artists, and we hope to cover more of their east and west coast events in the future.
