The third-anniversary of Echostage was a sold-out celebration of past years set to a soundtrack of future sound with the “After Life” tour led by French-producer Tchami.

Tchami attracted in a diverse range of fans for this birthday bash: from men in slacks and ties to rave girls ready to party all night. Echostage has drawn national attention as one of the best clubs in the country, and is definitely a gem of the D.C. scene. What a milestone to rejoice in, led by a producer wearing a priestly dog-collar.

From the start, party goers started forming lines around 8:50 p.m. Glow resident, DJ Roberto Gonzalez, warmed everyone up as fans capitalized on the open bar that was provided till 10:00 p.m.

Jersey-native Nadus had the crowd going wild with his fresh Brick City sound, and by this time the place was packed.

When headliner Tchami got on stage, fans went crazy with excitement. Anyone outside smoking rushed back inside, and fans assumed the position– raising their hands up with Tchami’s signature “praise hands.” The Afterlife Tour light show made it impossible to open your eyes wide enough to take it all in.

It was like a giant birthday party with a church-service theme, and all the guests were evangelical worshippers of future sound, or music that has not really been invented yet. Which is really fitting, as Echostage is continuing to build toward a future that we don’t quite have a definition for: we suspect it’ll be bigger, it’ll be crazier, and it’ll definitely be a mega-chapel of musical adoration.
