Tiesto played two nights in Washington D.C. on his recent tour, this being his first chance to pack Glow’s Echostage venue, as tickets were sold out online weeks in advance.
Roberto Gonzalez opened for Tiesto with a solid set of house tracks to keep the crowd dancing, a message appearing on screen during his set that he and his girlfriend were now engaged, congratulations to both of them.
The crowd was eager and ready for the headliner at 12:30 am, starting a “Ti-es-to” chant whenever there was a quiet build up in the last few songs of Roberto’s set.
Tiesto had the most spectacular light and effects performance thus far at Echostage, with an uncountable amount of smoke and confetti drops. The crowd was still full of energy at 4 a.m. with Tiesto varying his tracks from Porter Robinson’s “Language”, to DJ Carnage’s Spaceman remix.
Echostage served as the perfect upgrade in the venue for Tiesto as he still amazes crowds and sells out any venue he plays at in D.C. Tiesto may have to consider even more shows back to back in the future in the district because of the overwhelming demand for the limited amount of tickets available for these two shows.
