Wolfgang Gartner and Tommy Trash played 16 shows in 23 days on the Hounds of Hell Tour before arriving in DC saturday night. Going coast to coast including several stops in Canada on the west coast and then Mexico after the east coast dates, they have covered some serious ground. If you follow either Wolfgang or Tommy on twitter you know there’s all sorts of bus related shenanigans being posted.
Charlie Darker and Bass Kleph both played great opening sets, but they would play again to close the night with much more energy and entertainment.
Tommy Trash is one of the DJs who is really great to watch perform, he is rockin out on stage the whole time and during his set is the first time the huge display for this tour is unveiled. “TOM-MY TRASH” chants by everyone in echostage were all anyone could hear once the lights went dark and he took the stage around midnight.
Wolfgang Gartner took echostage to another level. He seems to have no limit to what he produces in the studio and incorporates into his sets, from the classic 5th symphony which I haven’t heard him play live in some time, to Fatman Scoop “Be Faithful” and Wolfgang’s Where’s Your Head at bootleg that was never really released.
The amount echostage is transformed from week to week depending on things the artists have brought is amazing, Wolfgang tweeted after his echostage show that it was his new favorite club.
After Wolfgangs set Bass Kleph played some serious bangers and was improvising live with an MPC or Maschine he was holding up to the crowd. Then Charlie Darker took over for another set as well. The biggest production to come through echostage, possibly ever, the HOUNDS OF HELL TOUR has raised the bar.
